It might get him hooked up on a yellow unit, and then he will have to scrap out that blue one he has..

Hey steve, its off topic but if you were interested in messing with an AHP AlphaTig, I jave one, and you are welcome to stop out and try it out! Im in Ft Wayne, so it would be on the way out. Bring whatever scraps, and material you want to blow through as well as consumeables you want to try, I only carry lanthanated tungsten.

And if I had seen the thread earlier I could have probably picked these up for you!

Yeah I know all about being self employed. The picture in my avatar is the back of a bowling center(pinspotters). I provide maintenance at several centers in the area. Most of the machines are over 40-50 years old. I am not getting rich but never a dull moment.
By the way, I see you are in Lansing. Maybe on one of our trips to the U.P. the wife and I can stop in and chat.

The water cooler can go under the machine..and then there will be room for the Shopmate tig Pre-post-flow box you are building me..
No hurry of course.. I really don't need a wire feeder either because The Lincoln's work well with the blue machine....

Really tho, if I can help you out with something, you got it.
I have a Shopmate that needs a 70 feeder...Not really need, but if the price was right...
My Shopmate seems to thinks it's a Shopmaster that has a decent AC output..

Re: Maxtron 450, worth a look?

You know,Steve, I probably won't bother with them as it's a 2 1/2 hour 1 way trip. If you know someone, let them know, I am ok with that. Just don't let me know if they turn out to work.

    Maxtron 450, worth a look?

Saw these on C-list http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/tls/4822339883.html would they be worth a look. It is about 2 1/2 hours away. What is their worth as scrap if they can't be repaired? Thanks.
