    Sorry. I had to go. Wasn't finished and of course god forbid if a person can edit. They were only cheesy because the rest of it job looked so beautiful. Don't quite see the need for it all but nice none the less. Great display of excellent skills.

    Yea he made them fit with a short length of rubber hose. Hose was too skinny to even use a worm gear clamp on. Cheesy. Lol

    I noticed too but didn't comment as I knew you would, Dave. Lol. [emoji23]

    I let it go because he did a very nice job[emoji481]

    The fanciest gauges and spiffy custom made guard yet worm gear hose clamps over a piece of rubber hose? Look at Oetiker clamps, they have a few different models but would certainly make your set up look more custom. Looks like an after thought the way it is and cheapens it.

    My dual regulator, stainless shield, digital SSI gauges, quick disconnects setup

    Thought I'd share this here. I made a custom layout a couple years ago. I've since gotten lazy and hardly ever use the stainless cove (bad habit I know). And have broken one of my regulators, and had to rebuild it with another. This required taking apart and turning down the round piece in the front by hand (not too fun) because the replacement regulator had slightly different dimensions. The SSI gauge is a bit ocd and overboard but they're accurate as hell and cost only 150-200 each, not 500 that most digital gauges of that accuracy/quality go for. I just got tired of manual gauges showing readings all over the map and just feeling super cheap in general. Not to say the SSI gauge is a perfect replacement because it's bulky and requires a power supply between 9-24v? (don't quote me, I just always use 12) power source. It is calibrate able though. I had one go bad, but they have been through lots of heavy abuse, outdoor Florida heat/rain/humidity, and just overall lots of neglect. Every time I burn up one of my superflex torches from CK I use the old water/gas lines for the gas lines. They work great and are just easy to handle. To avoid getting any rare annoying clamps I just throw a 3/8 hose section on them and clamp it down with normal clamps. Evens the pressure, and I never get leaks or bite marks on the hoses. The pictures are when I first assembled it so obviously it's not as shiny and pretty now, but still resembles the starting look. Any feedback welcome, and hopefully this gives people some ideas.

    Next plans: I got a SMC digital flow gauge and an SMC stainless pressure regulator that I want to make a 100% custom setup with. The only annoyance is all the proprietary swagelok fittings that are difficult/expensive to source (nothing some small stainless welding can't fix).

    Regulator: I know these are the cheap Chinese units. They are not perfect. Sometimes they jump and the pressure can vary. But I'm hesitant to drop 2-300 on some fancier units that may or may not even work better. I just make do with these and they suit my purging/welding needs. I've taken them apart many times from past broken units and overall there's really not much to them.

    Quick disconnects: I move the tanks around a lot and do some odd on-site jobs here and there and hate messing with connections so I use the Parker 1/4 carpet van as they call them hydraulic quick disconnect fittings. They are both way so neither line remains open when you disconnect them. I think around 20-30$ a set or so. Very reliable, I only once managed to warp and ruin one set with a tank falling (my fault, uneven pavement lol).

    Also, I did fill in the welds more since taking the pictures in some of the areas connecting the stainless guard to the cap. This was just the quick initial completion set of pictures I took. A sanitary stainless clamp I had laying around happened to fit the gas cap like a glove and that's what I ended up using to make it removable. Although I did remove the wing nut and replace it with a regular one due to access issues.
