The ones along the bed floor yes there good size. Head board is only 10 gauge and the over head above the floor weld is only 10 gauge. Dog house is 1/4 or 3/16.

Custom exhaust pipe of 316 stainless 1-1/2" seamless schedule 80 for 2-cylinder Yanmar marine diesel, which I installed in a client's sailboat. The welding was done by my helper, Jesse. We did the bends on my JD2 model 32 bender and used mandrel bends for the welded turn. Also did the nearly completed installation of the Aqua Drive system, which directs prop shaft power from the transmission, through a CV shaft and then through a thrust bearing, thereby eliminating the need for precise engine alignment and subsequent adjustments.

Lug is 20mm mild steel plate (3/4”) mounting plate is 10mm mild steel plate (3/8”)

180 amps (that’s me maxed out)
No pedal (I don’t have any amp control)
3/32 tungsten 1/8 filler #8 cup with gas lense.

I've been talking about that for my former fire truck now dump truck. Mud does not agree with it. I find crawling under to hitch to the axle is no fun either.




Holes in bumper are not at end of frame. I think stainless & mount where bumper bolts on.

Today (Sunday) I fabricated a small frame from 2"x2"x1/4" mild steel angle for a temporary support to a concrete core rig to drill 1.5" dia holes x 36" deep for new vertical anchor rods to a rock crusher. Got 8 holes to drill, 2 per setup location.

I have some cheapie walmart/big box store garage racks, and the particle board was sagging quite a bit with the weight...







...so I used Fusion 360 to draw out then build a support frame. Here is the design (upside down).





Cut the pieces to length, a few short tack welds later....




I was not about to fully weld it out, as I knew it would warp since I had no way to constrain it in the z-axis, so mostly just a few hot tacks, 'bout 3/8"- ½" long here and there.

Much better to support the weight. I'm not about to set a big-block engine on it either, just something to better support tools/random stuff on the racks.

Yea those Böhler Fox rods run real nice; I'd say right up there with Lincoln stuff. That's just a small portion of my stash of electrodes. I'm gonna build up some more support frames to really load up that rack.

I think they are German originally? All I know is they have a plant in Mexico, and a major office in Houston, so they have decent distribution in the South I'd say.

So I guess it's a Germaxican welding rod

made the floor welds little smaller this time. I'm trying to get my slag to fall off and still have a Good amount of heat into the weld for strength. Did all my down hills with no stopping on the headboard and Ran all the way around the bottom of the dog house without stopping. Came out pretty good but not perfect

hopefully i get to weld the rest of the headboard with hard wire tomorrow. The other guy who does the tail gates does it sometimes and does this funky giant while like .5" or more then back step and loop around also while back stepping he makes about 3/8 wide weld on 10 gauge to 10 gauge on the outside of the headboard. I new he did a giant whip because the weld is sometimes nice and shiny and wetted out, looked while he was welding one day, it was so funny

Nothing special or super precise but more along the line of get r done. Made a trailer hitch plate for one of the John Deere 140 garden tractors. Painted it flat black and it's curing in the sun before I mount it. I'll get a pic of it mounted with the patio 80 cart hooked up in the next day or so.

Welded up a few columns last night, brother had them tacked up and didn't want to gear up because of the heat... around 35degC and humid, too.

When I have to dump the sweat out of the helmet it's too humid.
