1956 Lincoln Shorthood only sparking
The machine will only create a tiny bluish-white spark when I try to strike an arc. Just these tiny little sparks.
I put a length of tig wire into my ground lug, and another into my positive lug, turned to a higher range than the range that was giving me trouble, and "completed the circuit" on the machine by scrathing the two tig wires together.
The machine then would temporarily fix itself, and would weld normally. (shame I would have to short the machine out to see if the cables were giving grief, but)
Now it seems like all I ever get it a tiny little spark when I try to scratch start an arc.
I only have a few options: I am thinking that maybe #4 will be my option, I've already printed off a "how-to-Flash-the-fields" handout, but it seems funny that as I complete the circuit at a higher gear range using tig wire stuck into both positive and negative lugs, and scratching the ends together - Temporarily the machine is fixed.
