Re: How I do accurate plasma cutting (demo'd using Longevity logo contest entry)

    Nice work.
The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.

    I like the guide lines.
I make templates much the same way, I make the "part" I want and then over or under size it by 3/16 (my plasmas drag cup offset) then I print it masonite. Take it to the shop and cut it out on the jig saw, sand it depending on the quality needed, and then I have a reusable template.

That loge looks neat, like the box idea.

    Tensaiteki and Gadget,

We emailed the return labels for the logos. Once all entries are received, it will take a few days for them to be analyzed.

We hope to send the product and CASH PRIZE within a few days of picking the winner.

    Thanks

    Hi Wello,

We did not have anyone from overseas enter and I dont really think our international customer's had known about the contest. This was strictly welding web participants. However, if you were from overseas and you won, I only see the issue of shipping costs, but since we did not specify that this is a USA only contest, we would have covered all cost involved and would have sent the prize.

In the future, we will clarify better.

Thanks and keep watching out for more contests!

    Simon

Re: Longevity Plasma Cutter and Welder Giveaway Plus $500 cash prize!

    Hi guys,

First, we would like to thank both Gadget and Tensaiteki for entering our first ever welding contest. We appreciate the time and efforts they put into cutting out logos and we were excited to receive both work pieces! Thank you guys!

After receiving and reviewing the two pieces submitted by Gadget and Tensaiteki, we have decided to award Tensaiteki with the first place prize which is our WeldMax LC-520D Plasma Cutter/Welder and the $500.00 Cash Prize! . Although both pieces were nicely cut, Tensaiteki did place extra effort into making the piece and actually painting it to our logo colors. I must also admit his tutorial and step by step instructions really showed his quality work. Also, his work piece was significantly larger than Gadgets and both pieces be displayed in our warehouse or office shortly! Also, since this was our first contest, the runner up Gadget, received something special as well so don't worry he is not leaving empty handed!

There were some damages caused during shipping as Tensaiteki's piece is slightly bent (pictured below) and Gadget's piece was scratched, but i guess there is little we can do there. In the future contests, please remember to pack the projects very nicely because we actually display the work!

We took some pictures of both items together for all WeldingWebbers to see(please click the links for pictures)

Once again congratulations to the winner Tensaiteki and a special thanks to both contestants. Tensaiteki we will email you information shortly for your free machine and $500.00 check!

Thanks to everyone who supported this contest,

    Simon

Congratulations Tensaiteki you really did a great job. Thanks for the great tutorial as well. I know I learned a bunch from it and am betting others did too.
Also many thanks to Longevity and Simon for the cool contest and prize.
