    Silverware Musicians

First attempt silverware art. My son is a professional trombonist so I thought I would try make these for him and friends. The violin player is shorter, I used a spoon for a body. Just playin around. I found the eyes in my wife's old craft goodies.

I ran across this type of art a few years ago made by a fellow named Phil Johnston of Smyrna, Delaware. He is a unique artist with stainless flatware. Here are some of his pieces. The last one, the rear wheels turn, his legs go up and down and the front wheel steers a little bit.

YEP ! And THANKS for the kind words. Try it. It is not that easy for me at least. The silverware thickness and design makes a difference for welding and bending.. I'm learning as I play with this stuff. The thin stuff sucks, easy to burn through.
I'll take 6'' iron pipe welding stick any day anywhere.

Like it very much. Fun to see those silverware come to life. Very creative interpretation of musicians. Great work!
