    Bolton cold saw OK?

Anyone had hands-on experience with the Bolton tools? They have a good price on a cold saw. Or is this stuff typical junk?

So no hands-on with Bolton, so far?. It's understandable that no one would buy a machine he thought was inferior...but...Com'on! Yeah, I like the good stuff, too, but only have $1k budget for either (1) horizontal bandsaw or (1) cold saw. Already have a 14" vertical metal-cutting bandsaw; it was used when I bought it decades ago. Most of my shop machines I bought used--some are ancient.

The reasons I'm considering Bolton are that:
    a) they are less than an hour drive from me, so I can inspect it before buying.
    b) their eBay rating is overwhelmingly positive (99.7%).
    c) mainly, for the money ($1k)!

Sorry. But I don't own Bolton tools. Are you referring to the 10 inch saw?

    There $ 1,000 saw is only a 10". Probably only 2- 3" square capacity.
I have a 315mm saw that I gave $500 for used( I did have to buy a $300 freq. drive).
I have cut several hundred pieces, probably thousand or better.

    You may want consider used.
