Looks good. I hope that Ike is happy!!
Hi All,
You have seen videos of a LONGEVITY unit being hammered. Well, we contacted the customer and did everything possible to make him happy.
Please check out Ike's latest reviews on his youtube section. We are committed to all customers no matter the situation. You can see this as being a prime example.

Previous owned;
Linde 300 Amp welder
Miller Gas drv welder, Tumbstone,Dayton
Miller ac to dc converter,High frequency unit
Longevity LS60P
Currrently owned;
Longevity WeldAll 200PI
If you watch the other video on youtube of Ike receiving the "welder" you'll see exactly how poor the packaging is and also Ike complaining about how he had to send Simon an e-mail because his unit came with no documentation, no owners manual or directions for proper use.
You chi-com guys are keeping me mighty amused with your antics and business practices.
I can't believe that there are still people out there willing to plunk down some hard earned cash for some inferior products.
I am what I am, Deal with it!
If necessity is the Mother of Invention, I must be the Father of Desperation!
Dabar,
Ike is satisfied from the email he sent me today and that is all that counts. Unfortunately, the manual was still being worked on by our crew to give the user a full description of the unit.
We email our manuals at this time and they are available on our welding forum. Bottom line, he is happy and we are as we worked with Ike to turn a positive from a negative.
Proudly presenting affordable and quality welding equipment is what we are here to do. If you can afford a big brand name, go for it. If not, we are here to cover that market for the hobby user, who cannot justifying paying for overpriced welding equipment.
You dont see LONGEVITY blaming customers here.

I dont understand why you would send out a product if the manual is still in development.
Ive never brought a piece of major equipment ( and most minor ) without a manual.
I dont know why you would call major brands overpriced?
You dont even produce/import a welder that can do what my Kemppi does!
Hi Keith,
From what he told me today, he is. As soon as he got the manual a day or so after the unit arrived, he started testing. He will be TIG Welding tomorrow and working on his Harley. I hope to see the results as well.
So far so good. We both are thankful to put the past behind and move forward.

Larry, we were adding finishing touches to an existing manual to insure it was as nice or on par with the big dollar units. I would call major brands overpriced because they feature imported guts and components and charge a big dollar for a name. Not saying the quality is bad, but the big brand name does hold for a lot resale, recognition, service, etc...
People lie, numbers dont. You can compare our multi purpose unit and add up a total figure of each function on any major brand and you will see why i made the comment. Our equipment is 1/4 or more less than the big boys, but yes you do get a better manual there and other benefits which professionals do appreciate. Just not everyone can afford that unfortunately
Addition: forgot to mention 5 year warranty and cost of expendables.
Best

Can you have TIG, stick and plasma leads pluged in all at once?
Larry,
You know the answer to your own question. With that said, please do not take away from this thread. Ive been through the whole ChiCom thing numerous times and I am as tired of it as you are. Its not something i have time for nor do I care.
Most important thing here is the subject of the thread and what Ike will report. As said before, we turned a negative situation to a positive for that I must thank Ike and our crew for allowing us to come to civil agreement. You dont see our company making excuses or blaming our customers. Everyone has received help from day one and if you read our threads, you can see the same.

Fair call. S This will be my last post in this thread.
It's just not good business by anyone to attack the opposition.
You are right that you do supply unit to a certain market but dont try to compair. I am a hobby welder and i am lucky that i could afford good products.
As stated before, Longevity dont import a machine that can do what my Kemppi does.
I dont like people calling my equipment overpriced.
Thanks for readin'.
Well Noted! I seen Kempi at the world largest welding fair in Germany and the equipment is impressive no doubt. I guess price depends on the individual. We shall wait for Ike to do what he has to do.
Thanks

I have had Miller, Lincoln and a variety of oxy/acet systems and now currently have moved to a Longevity IGBT welder and I'm pleased with it's performance. I find it a bit amusing there's so much talk about a "manual"??? In certain types of industries a manual really doesn't matter. It's a key for maintainence, but not for function. Does a CAT D8 earthmover come with a manual on how to grade a highway? Don't think so. How about a refinery hydrotreater, does it come with an operation manual? Don't think so. On very specialized trades you need to know your trade, the equipment will provide the service but a manual won't train you and make you an expert. So get over it, it's not about the manual it's about the equipment and how it functions. If you don't know how to weld...then don't expect a manual to train you.
Anyway, overall I have been very happy with all the brands I have used and owned. The Longevity 200PI which I now have performs very well, though no manuals I have seen really define all it's capabilities. The latest manuals on the internet really are helpful in setting up the equipment and all; but you will only benefit from it's many functions as you become a proficient welder.
Don't get me wrong...I love Miller and lincoln, they are great machines; and for my use in my own shop the Longevity multifunction unit does a great job and I love it too!
If I received a great manual from Miller, would that make me a cert welder....

Century 230A AC/DC
Longevity 200 Multifunction Mofset
Longevity 200PI Multifunction IGBT
Victor Oxy/Weld&Cut
5HP 2 stage compressor
Tractor; tools and 40 years of collecting fine tools.
A CAT D8 does come with a manual.
I dont need a manual to teach me how to grade a highway or how to weld. Thats not what manuals are for.
They should info on functions ( basic and out of the norm. ), maintenance, troubleshooting, service centers and probably a few other things that don't come to mind.
Almost everything comes with a manual on the product, doesn't mean it needs to teach you how to use it.
The manuals have been finished for the machine and are available to the purchaser immediately. Any other question's a customer may have about our equipment can be answered by us directly.
Your argument was appreciated.
End of story.
