    Re: Trailer fail pics

I don't understand why this hitch is a fail. It's solidly attached to the vehicle, it's got a nice new ball on it and the builder was even smart enough to add those nice eye bolts for securing the trailer with I'm guessing brand new HF bungee cords.

It's a heck of a lot better than some of those rusted factory hitches I see being used with the wrong sized ball, no safety chains and no lights or brakes.

Ok, seriously, I hope that a LEO pulls that idiot over and impounds both his vehicle and trailer.

Plus mounting the ball behind the grain lines where the carriage bolts go through will prevent the trailer from breaking the board and ramming into the car!!! a lot of thought went into this project
Sorry to disappoint everyone, but they got the crown on the 2x6 facing the wrong way. If you're going to use interior lumber, at least put it on right side up.

It is PT. Yellow Pine to be exact. It'll cause corrosion.

Here's a beauty I saw at dairy queen yesterday. No fail yet, but the pallet rack frame is certainly interesting

Looks like the original bolt on hitch didn't work.

Had they simply used the copper treated (green) PT boards the copper would work harden and the hitch would get stronger the more it was used.

Yeah it did...it was that damn plastic bumper that the bolts pulled out of that was the problem.

Texas plates, that’s probably part of a Mexican Caravan, see it all the time. The Mexican car dealers come up in a minivan pulling a few car dollies, then buy a couple of cars at auction and daisy chain them to the minivan and pull them back to Mexico. They get by with it somehow, DPS would jail a Texas resident lol.

I’ve even seen them with a minivan full of these types of “dollies” and helpers at the auctions. They buy a bunch of cars, with one Run-and-Drive to every two immobile vehicles, then pull the two non drivers with the one run-and-drive. They end up with a 9 or so cars in total, all riding together in the slow lane doing 55, hence the name.

Not sure if this is a 'trailer fail' or tractor... either way the trailer is failed now Saw this morning while headed north.

Looks like this guy missed the off ramp a half mile back and decided to try to go up the bank

Some more 'mass' issues with this trailer today from the tractor pulling it

He definitely should have sprung for the extra high flotation tires on this rig

The little wrecker showed up first and I thought to myself... Hmmmm, you might want to get a bigger tow truck!!! then about 10 minutes later his big brother rolled in

No, just a soft shoulder and crappy soil down here in the valley it floods a lot this time of year... I didn't see him put it in there but only happened about 15 minutes before I got on site... probably came out of the industrial park and went wide!!! but with all the water couldn't see the 3-4 foot deep culverts

I was with a buddy of mine when he got called out with a 1 ton tow truck. We get to the site and a semi is stuck. He had the front tires 3 ft off the ground but he got it out. Yes, we were 19.

    Re: Trailer fail pics

First pics full of water look like a parking lot. I had to go back and see them for it to make sense. Looked like he was gonna get towed to the shop for repairs but now doesnít look as bad as I originally thought
