    I don't understand why this hitch is a fail. It's solidly attached to the vehicle, it's got a nice new ball on it and the builder was even smart enough to add those nice eye bolts for securing the trailer with I'm guessing brand new HF bungee cords.

    It's a heck of a lot better than some of those rusted factory hitches I see being used with the wrong sized ball, no safety chains and no lights or brakes.

    Ok, seriously, I hope that a LEO pulls that idiot over and impounds both his vehicle and trailer.

    Sorry to disappoint everyone, but they got the crown on the 2x6 facing the wrong way. If you're going to use interior lumber, at least put it on right side up.

    It is PT. Yellow Pine to be exact. It'll cause corrosion.
