Who needs a tandem axle trailer with 4 wheels, not this guy.
Who likes to find the largest pos trailer and hook it up to the smallest truck he can find, this guy.
Also views any kind of insurance as a waste of money.

Typical scrap hauler in this neck o the woods...worst stuff on the road.

When I drove propane trucks I'd get stopped by those random check highway patrol vehicles.
They check all my stuff but let guys like that drive right by.

Who needs a trailer to haul scrap... I came up on this on my last trip to the scrap yard. It was being pulled by a rusty Jeep Cherokee going about 25 mph and still all over the road. SMH

If you can't distribute your load you can always move the tires around!

Craziest thing I saw was a guy hauling a 580 Case backhoe by setting the bucket on top of the bed rails on a late 70s 3 quarter ton Chevy 4x4 and using the down pressure to pick the backhoes front tires off the ground . As bad as that is this was on a 4 lane state highway.

How fast was he going? I have done that before with a tractor. I set the bucket on my flatbed to go a couple miles down a county road but I wouldn't dare even think about doing it on a highway

He was going about 35-40 mph. My thought was to put that picture in the rearview mirror ASAP.

I've pulled my dads tow truck with my little 1992 Chevy Silverado 1/2 ton pickup without someone guiding it and that wasn't fun trying to keep it straight.

I was driving the tow truck and as I was heading home it broke down and wouldn't start back up. So I had to go get my little truck and hope that it would pull it the 3 blocks home.

I would never tow a truck or any vehicle down the highway or any further distance without someone guiding it. Then again I'd just load it on my dad's car trailer if it were around and haul it that way. "Much Safer that way"

I thought it kinda funny that the tow truck needed towed this time and it was towed by a non tow truck.

I tied a belt to the steering wheel of the Ford Tow Truck and through the door to keep it somewhat straight. But still the truck kept going all over the road and even slammed into me. lol

There's no way I'd go 25MPH doing that unless I had a tow bar. But I was just using a chain.

I was going down I-20 coming out of Atl, Ga last week. Saw a late 90's Jeep (not sure of model) pulling a Kubota Mini Ex, 4,500 Lbs. He was running about 55mph On a sh..ty little double axle trailer. I'm still kicking myself for not getting a picture.

What, you've never seen a shallow draft raft on a boat trailer before? How else do you expect to get it from pond to pond?

I see new trailers at retail outlets that have welds about like that all the time.

    Re: Trailer fail pics

Here is a hub off my parts trailer, some one figured they would weld the spindle nut on.
In New Mexico you weld the spindle nuts on and when the wheels fall off you replace the axle, or trailer, because the science of repacking wheel bearings and installing a cotter pin eludes some people.
Seriously how can any one be so gosh darn stupid?
How do these people remember to breath while they are sleeping, because I wish they wouldnt.

Now instead of just cleaning everything and replaceing the grease and seal, possibly the bearings and races, I need an entire new spindle and likely bearings and races too.

Looks like I am winning so far. Unfortunately.
I am starting to think New Mexico has the worst trailers in the country.
At least in virginia where I lived for 20 years, is a nanny police state but you wouldnt see 1% of what I see here.

Wait, let me put a game trail camera up at the scrap yard for a few hours.......
A serious multifail trailer rolls in there at least every 20 minutes.
