    cutting square pipe

just to prove I haven't used a plasma before , looking
for one right now - how does one cut a square pipe
with a plasma (just so I know what's ahead of me - need
to make some square pipe tables/trolleys
    - is it just a matter of using a guide surface
and turning the pipe around as each side is cut ?

4 short cuts and a framing traingle is how I do it
If you cannot convince them, confuse them.

For pieces I plan to cut out more often I use a slightly larger piece of pipe fitted over the original pipe. The piece then acts as a cutting guide. Otherwise I use that same triangle clamped down or try a loose fitting guide. Yep sometimes I resort to cutting by hand following a soapstone line.

Here's an easy way to cut square pipe. Kinda pricey though:

Bingo! I've got two tri squares with the lips trimmed at the corners so the plasma torch doesn't catch on them.
