    Hobart 230 vs. Lincoln 216

Thinking about buying one of these machines and wanting some input on which one you would chose if you were in my shoes.

I bought the Ironman 230 a couple of years ago. It came with a free spool gun. I am very pleased with the perfomance of the machine and do not regret saving a few buck compared to the Blue or Red machines.
Weld mostly .065 to 3/16" material and it does a very good job. When I did weld 1/4" plate, it did the job with no problems.

Its impossible to weld 1/2 inch steel or aluminum in a single pass!

You bevel the metal AND RUN SEVERAL PASSES....

That Ironman 230 is solid machine, at a great price.

    Jody's video's on it....

Just a couple welders, big hammers, grinders, and torches.
    Work will free you.

If you need a full size weld you aren't going to be welding 1/2" steel or aluminum, in a single pass, with the Ironman 230 or PM 216

HH125EZ - nice little fluxcore only unit

Maxstar 150 STH - very nice
