here goes nothing..opinions are like a$$ holes everyone has one and they all stink.. some people come across claiming to know how the pros do it and really dont..that can really pi$$ off a pro..mabe you dont do it on purpose..but in todays world people just look for any excuse to rip into someone..so take the coments with stride take any usefull info out and leave the rest...theres nothing wrong with a healthy debate or argument...

FWIW, it might hurt to hear the truth sometimes, and I look at your post, and read carefully what he commented. While brutal in assessment, he points out the obvious; you need to study tig welding, it is NOTHING like mig other than the metal gets hot and melts.

Look to the dozens of threads on tig help, tig basics, how to tig weld aluminum, aluminum tig set-up. When you read 10 threads, you will get the jist of the basics, and then you need to start there and emulate it for success. Start simple, and move forward. Practice, and then practice a lot more.

A great many good weldors have had fits trying to tig aluminum, while they get steels with relative ease. The common theme is a learning attitude, and a willingness to practice forever, if that's what it takes.
