Got the discada finished up today. The stand will be a combo discada stand and burner.

Cowboy Wok is another name for them.

First time I ever heard of cooking on them was watching Mexican guys bidding on new disks at an Auction, then the wife walks up and picks the ones out of the pile they wanted!

That turned out great. I made one similar a few months ago for my nephews wedding. They are big campers, and I thought a Wok is a good wedding present so why not make one he could take camping.

similar shape to yours, and the stand.

The burner is salvaged from an old BBQ and the stand is made to fold up.

Wow! Thanks. I keep looking at it and seeing things I could have done different. But I am happy with it.

    Re: Discada...

Thanks. Not quite as fancy as yours, but I have heard that it cooks well. I got the idea from this site, Sorry I can't remember the poster. But if I remember right, the guy did it for his high school welding class.

    Re: Discada...

Your cooker looks just great. I am thinking my handles would look better if they were more "beefy". This is my first one and some things I would like to change on the next one - some are visible and some aren't. I really like your folding stand.
I remember the thread. I am not sure if that is the first one I saw or not. There is also lots of inspiration over on "thesmokering.com" There is an entire section dedicated to discada. Check it out.
