Sometimes. Most times however it's wear in the tube, end bushings, broken return or damper springs but mostly a stuck injector. The old "two stroke joke" injectors go to full fuel when shut off and the governor pulls the individual fuel racks back to idle position. A single stuck injector in the full fuel position holds them all wide open and the governor cannot control it. Most of those engines had an emergency air flapper door that would snap shut with overspeed and kill the air supply to the engine shutting it down. They say a shop towel down the intake will kill them too but I've not seen that be successful in practice. A piece of cardboard held over the intake air port will shut them down but any of these screaming away will make the hair stand up on the back of your neck for sure.

The SA-200 'ring-judges' have ruled: your question is tantamount
to malingering on the ropes - you have been directed to a neutral
corner - until you can report 'hands-on' experience on a SA-200.
Leave your 'O-Scope' at home.
The empirical experience will render your 'O-Diagnostic' moot.

Point me towards it when it gets started...lol. I'm just 28 (for like the 14th time)... But I kinda tend to ramble. I reckon it's from being around welding and equipment from so early in life, and growing up more with an older generation... My mom and dad were 44 and 45 when I was born, So I was lucky in that I grew up in more an "old school" way of thinking. Learned a lot of things the "old" way.

Not counting down pipe I bet if it was on the other side of a wall less people than they think could tell one machine from the next. I would be glad to trade a couple 200's for a new TB. I am not exactly sure what the top end it but way back had a bunch on a job welding column extensions, it's been a while, seems it was 7/32 lo hy or 7024, don't even remember now except it was winter, had to prevent heat and the machines were set to max, wide open. Ran them as fast as a guy could get rod in the stinger.
I have used many over the years,, not on pipeline but lots of uphill, they are good but it's no big deal to me. What does really impress me is the dc buzzer I paid 250 for 40 years ago, still use it sticks in the shop, welds as good or better than the Maxstar. My fave engine drive is the little 210 ac/dc. Perfectarc for structural, good 6010 and lo hy.

I owned one of those GMC 9500's, bought it in Kansas City, Kansas for $12k when it was 2 years old, Had a real pretty bronze and brown paint job with tall chrome stacks. Ran that thing 290,000 miles and it did nothing but make me money. Didn't have enough power to break anything.

I was just thinking about that post and this video both the other day. Beat me to it!!! Fyi- they still didn’t kill it. Fuel pump let loose and it lost fuel pressure, hence the fireball. Still runs whether he tries to blow it up again or not.
