The 80i doesn't have anywhere near the current density to be classified as high definition, not to mention that high definition systems usually use dual-gas systems.

yes, i know... it doesnt use dual gas for plasma, however, it has tons more definition than my cutmaster has. tons more. ive seen plasma machines that cost upwards of quarter mil that are truly hi-def... was only trying to say that for the price tag, this machine has great definition... i should have worded it differently and thanks for pointing this out to me

Stan, your posts might carry more credibility (especially in a sponsored forum) if you deleted the "No ads - Just Advice" from your signature line.

That video was 100% ad and 0% advice.

    Just throwing it out there.

    MillerFab,

I take full blame for that line in the signature. Our plan was to have someone credible not pushing our equipment as a sales man. Someone that uses our equipment daily and shows whats is capable off. However, i can see the conflict this may cause as advertising.

Stan did not write that. Our staff did when this performance account was created. We dont want to mislead so it will be removed. You are the second person who complained about this.

Our customers enjoy the videos and hopefully more welding web members will as well.

    Simon

To quote Inigo Montoya: "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

What exactly is your definition of "definition" in the context of plasma cutting?

narrow kerf. and when hooked up with nitrogen instead of compressed air, it even leaves a glossy finish on aluminum. throw o2 at it and it leaves a glossy finish on carbon steel as well.... ive run both hypertherm and thermal machines and neither would produce the way this one does. only machine ive seen close was a panasonic, but was cost prohibitive
