    welder's choice electrodes

got i shipment of rods the other day. instead of lincoln or hobart the electrodes were welder's choice brand. never heard of them. opened the can and they were an off brown color and had a mulchy smell. i ran a couple (some were stuck together) and there was a blob on the rod end as it was welding. in addition major finger nailing on the flux when vertical up. the finished weld on a flat butt joint looked ok but overall i think they stink. imvho.

Good on you Joe. I hope you enjoy retirement. Would you be in FL full time in that case?
