A miter saw isn't a table saw, but for $235 I'd load it all up and take it home. Can't believe the prices you guys dig up on Craig's list down there.

I just missed a Kennedy roll-around tool cart with three lower units, a big machinist's top box and a nice Wilton vise for $200.

Well, here's the kind of deals I can get if I drive 2 hrs to the city... a busted anvil for $175.

I'd pass on that...wouldn't spend the time or gas money for it. Put your money on a complete, decent anvil if you plan on smithing. It'll work, but you will eventually buy a good anvil and that money could have been put towards the good one. 'Jus my 2c.

I have a really nice sway-back anvil my brother gave me. The bow in the middle is at least 1/2 inch deep. But is heavy and it cost him $35.

Agreed... I would have advertised that thing as a boat anchor... although if you were desperate and didn't need a horn it would probably be ok. Just noting that the market access you guys have south of the border is a definite game changer. I'll try to quit whining now...
