Not in that application. The aluminum is too thin for DC tig.
I have an Intercooler that has some cracks in it. Does not have to be pretty as no one can see it. And is this just a DC unit on tig. Says high frequency on stick.

since you have a torch, I would look into the the aluminum brazing rods. Several posts on this board about them and people have had surprisingly good results in non structural applications.
