Hello!
Amateur home welder. Just purchased a HH 210mvp to fix some steel edging in the yard (1/4" plate). I got Northern Tool to match TSC's price ($829); couldn't help myself.
I looked at the MM211, but the one I saw had the same problem others have noted with the drive reel being out of alignment with the wire feed. Seems like they are still shipping this way? Welding shop said that one had just arrived.
Also looked at the fancy Lincoln Powermig 210 MP. Too many things to break! I like simple...
Glad I bought the mvp; turns out that I can't get 220v in my garage like I had planned. The 12" tall 1/4"plate in the yard is a but heavy for 110v welding mode, but with flux core I get enough penetration to hold. Yard steel is hardly structural...
Hope to learn and tackle more projects soon.
