I use my 120v transformer tig on a 70foot long 3 conductor SJ cable extension cord. The transformer tig draws around 30 amps at full power.
That cable is going to cost about $2 per foot. I buy by 500 and 1000 foot rolls so it doesn't cost me any where near $2/foot.

The 50ft cord was almost long enough, so I added 20 feet.
