Shop after a couple of months use.

My shop is now in full production mode and has been a blessing. Nothing like having a warm, dry, well-lit work area during the winter time. As with any shop, you can never build one big enough, but the size has worked out well for me.

The original plan for the layout attached, changed just a little bit. The lean-to on the left of the shop houses my recreation vehicle . Inside pics from the storage area atop my office.

Nice shop! That's either a boat, or a rocket bay in the upper left.

Great setup for sure. One issue is you can set the top of the tables ! That is a real let down. I even have '' temporary '' flat surfaces. My $1.00 ironing board WITH COVER is really handy . Best part is how many laughs I get with it. Looking forward to see some projects.

That's a 225k BTU gas heater out of a chicken house. Got it for the right price (free) and converted it from propane to NG. Takes the chill out of the air in a hurry!

    NICE!

That looks like a very tick welding table!

Ok, I see everything except air system....Well, I guess it's not really needed unless sandblasting.

Air compressor is in the back of the lean-to so it doesn't take up shop space and is quieter. If you look close, to the left of the rear roll-up door above the small tool chest there is a hose reel and right above it are two water separators. Also under the heater by the front walk-in door there is another hose reel. The air lines are run up and through the rafters. I used the Rapid-Air system.

The table is 5'x10' with a 1/2" thick top. The frame is made from 10" I-beam so it is very heavy. I build a lot of hand rails for steps so I built a folding table the same height as my big table which I can use to layout larger jobs (as in the picture above). Another smaller rolling table behind the large table is used to hold tools and other items I use while working. The end of the large table has a simple piece of angle attached which holds clamps and side grinders.

Very nice and well thought out layout. You have built a "work palace" that will serve you well. I was confused by several of your pictures that contained a grey element I didn't recognize. My wife walked in and helped me out. She said it's called "a floor". She says I had one in my garage shop once but it apparently shrunk to "a path" so long ago I just didn't recognize it.
Great Job, look forward to seeing the fruits of your labors in your "palace"

I'm in the same boat, JimboTN! I've been slowly finding it. I feel like I'm on an archaeological dig!
