Flat bed

Just finished a flat bed for the area hay baler. He wanted a truck with maximum tool capacity and no boxes on the deck. Well, this is it. It has drawers between the cross bed supports on both sides of the bed, boxes under the bed and even a box between the frame in the back.

The door cover on the goose neck is made into rails. It lifts and slides to the side to open but when closed is perfectly flat with the bed.

It will eventually have 2 spare tires against the head ache rack.

That don't look like a bad setup. Now if everything stays dry and dust free..........

I like the idea of there not being any wasted space. (In my mind, efficiency is almost an ethos or religion)

Am thinking of this style of deck for my truck, with a dedicated "welding" skid to be placed on top. Like to retain the option of a full deck for the occasions that it is better suited for the task at hand.

There was a pretty cool guy in one of the Rig threads that had a flatbed with a tail roll and a winch... He could load and offload his skid without any lifting equipment.
