    Plasma cutter electrode ?

    I have the Miller 125c.

Put in new electrode and it won't fire up correctly.

Put in the old one and it works just fine.

Simple piece of copper- can't see why the new ones won't work.

Correct part number on packaging and they look identical.

I believe you're mistaken. There is a [usually] hafnium-based electrode in the center of the copper tip.

@ Broccoli - never ran that cutter you have. This is the Miller 196925 electrode you need for your 125C plasma cutter.

Electodes are mostly Cu, with an axial "button" emitter of Hf, for cutter systems.
