Hello, new guy and new to welding. Well its been a long time that's for sure. I'm retired at 53 and spend a great deal of time working on projects, one of my current projects is an industrial firewood rack made from 2-3/8" pipe casing. Also re-decking a trailer with Cee purlins?= found some galvanized purlins cheap but worried about grinding/welding.

Interesting! Thanks. I googled it. Calcium reduces the absorption of zinc, but that's if you eat it. Not sure about through breathing or skin.
