Sounds like they are all within a few bucks of each other, I was fortunate on this bottle as it was given to me, along with a brake drum & rotor lathe that is in very good condition.

Have you tried CO2 instead of the mix. A 200 size bottle cost me $16 and there is virtually no difference in performance except maybe a little more penetration with the CO2.

No I haven't, I asked the yo-yo if anyone around here was using co2 and he pretty much said it was obsolete technology and no-one uses it anymore, he said too much spatter and mess, but it's great on dual shield. I didn't say anymore. Everything I read says it's a matter of "tuning" yourself and welder to it.

They've all been scammed. I was too for many many years until I left the US and found out what mixes cost here. I went right back to good ol CO2. Nary an issue and no spatter when you learn proper prep and fine tune the machine for what you are doing. When I began mig they didn't even offer mixes. Then they came up with the scam. Kinda like cholesterol meds......more nonsense

    Re: C25 prices

Maybe I'll get my small bottle filled with CO2 when it's empty, but I'm torn between that or argon for the very seldom aluminum repair I do. What is the proper prep needed, and does it need to run hotter or what?? My machine is pretty much auto set but do have inductance and vrd, 2t & 4t, so do have some ability to change it up some.
