Looking for a funnel for filling Concrete bollards

I do bollards enough to want to get a funnel for filling 4" and 6" bollards.

I was thinking a 12x4 pvc reducer and 12x6 but not at $140 each and none second hand from eBay. Anyone have another funnel idea that isn't just making one.

And we are currently using old traffic cones since we can break the concrete after it hardens without damaging the cone.

a plastic water cooler jug with the bottom sliced off might work.

That's what the pump truck is for!!!!!! Have also used the big traffic cones.

What about rolling up a piece of FRP with a couple of 1/4-20's and fender washers to hold it in shape you want??

I've got a big plastic funnel for filling 8" pipe. I'll have to see if I can dig it up.

Put a few gallons of water in the pipe then just pour in dry concrete from the bag until all the water flows out, then just finish of the top.

After reading this post the first thing that came to mind was a traffic cone but you already knew that. I would say stick with the traffic cone. Cheap.

Go to lumber yard or local building supply, ask for a footing bell for a sonotube, don't know where you are but in the North east these are common in frost areas. Designed to be buried with the sonotube on top, makes for a footing that is wider than the sonotube, But instead of digging with a post hole digger and just dropping the tube in you have to excavate a lot more. Anyway it should make a great sonotube concrete funnel. About $20

Galvanized chimney flue pipe, 6x4 reducer, put a 8x6 in that but has to be cleaned right after use.

I use old road cones. The plastic ones work best. The rubber ones move too much. Has worked out great for years

I've used cones from time to time... works ok... most of the bollards we do is bag mix but if you're using a mixer truck get... or make one of these:

You can also buy several different designs and sizes... like this one:

A lot of guys make their own similar to this one... just some discharge hose and piece of tough plastic like mud flap material and some assorted hardware.

The advantage of having a longer hose is you can fold the end over to shut it off
