    hi , i am getting ready to connect a powermax 1000 to my portable cnc plasma machine , it is same machine as esab crossbow , but made in china
    the supplier is telling me that i need to run full arc voltage to thc on machine , my question is will i get full arc voltage from plug on back of machine or will i need to use terminals j 15 and j16 to get the correct voltage for thc ?

    Pretty sure the voltage in the plug on the back of the machine is divided. Can’t remember the ratio offhand. If you need full arc voltage, I don’t think you can get it from the plug.

    You need to access the raw arc voltage inside the Power supply. details and illustrations for making the connections are in the Powermax1000 operators manual, or you can contact Hypertherm tech service and they can supply raw arc voltage details, technical.service@hypertherm.com or 1 800 643 9878 is the contact info.
