Amazon 50W LED shoplights on trippods

So I added these based on a suggestion from Louie, and there is a subtle improvement. Previously there was only a fluorescent light overhead, but these should help out as long as my Optrel doesn't darken past 10.5ish on it's own. I actually ordered two more, since shade 10 makes them barely noticeable, but better than nothing!

Yes I know I need to clean up the garage and organize!

I get mine much closer to the work piece. I also make sure to cover the back of my helmet to keep light from shining in from the back. What I notice when I do this is not so much that picture become brighter, but that I can see where I am going a little clearer. Less contrast between the arc and the rest of the area.

Yup my Optrel has the leather drape on the back, and it helps out a lot to keep the outside light, outside. I need to buy some clear plexi to protect the glass from splatter before I move them any closer. One of them already has slight dings.

Also I changed the orientation so the lights are mounted to the front of the square tube, allows for more movement this way.

I receiver mounted mine using a small tv mount for multi angle swivel.
