Yes a quick message for Jim. I recently purchased a hypertherm powermax 85 plasma system. I only have single phase power so to my knowledge, this was the biggest machine I could run. In any case my question pertains to hooking up an additional moisture filter that I purchased directly from hypertherm via my local airgas welding supply. I live in Florida and the humidity is horrible here to say the least. When I started to hook it up I noticed that the instructions forbid the use of Teflon tape on the fittings, and instead advocated the use of liquid pipe sealant can you explain why this is so, and suggest any good brands of this type of sealant that would be readily available in most hardware stores.
