    WTB thermal arc 185tsw

I am looking for a bad thermal arc 185. I burnt a board in mine and cant see paying $1000 for a new board. I was hoping someone had a non working one and I could take two to make one good machine again. I would like a new machine but am not in the place where I can spend $2000 right now. Let me know if you have one. Thanks.

Unfortunately no. I need the main board. The part number I need is 10-6634. I will send that guy a message. Maybe he will have one. Thanks

That's a Sanrex machine. I have a non working 200 if you can use anything off of it. It looks the same but is slightly larger. Needs Igbt's.

    Re: WTB thermal arc 185tsw

I looked it up and the main board has a different part number on the 300 vs the 185. I then looked at the IGBT to see if I could help you out. And again they have different part numbers. Thanks anyways but I guess the hunt continues. A place call Midwest welding supplies has a lot of thermal arc parts and can get any parts you would need. But I can’t see paying $1000 for a new board when I can get a new miller or Lincoln for a few hundred more.

I was always curious about the several companies that rebuild circuit boards. They are supposed to be considerably cheaper than buying a new board.

Have you checked prices at any of those companies?

I just got this one from Google: https://www.innovatcorp.com/

    Just a thought.

EDIT. I googled welder circuit board repair

I have talked to them personally. I exhausted every way to fix my machine. That company only deals with the big names. They can’t get the info they need to fix thermal arc boards. So unless someone finds another company that can my welder is scrap and I will be forced to buy a new one when money allows

    Re: WTB thermal arc 185tsw

I know welders are not the same as furnaces, but.................. I needed a board for my furnace, my brother had one, but with different numbers. BTW, he is a repair man, knows what he is doing. Anyway, even with different numbers, visual inspection of both showed they would interchange. Different years, options, etc, there will be slight differences. But if all your basic/needed connections are there, there is a very good chance it might work. First step, which I did, was to look at pics of both and compare connections, etc, Bottom line - what do you have to lose by trying this?

I know the 185, 200, 300 Sanrex units. The 200 board is likely a little larger than the 185 boards and probably won't fit in the case.
