    I like it. Looks like something the kids would do. We did something similar a while back, it's hard to tell at first look but had an obsolete wheel on an implement, cut the center out and fit it to a modern wheel, welded it in.

    Which stick electrode should one use for welding a rebar
    spoked highway duty wheel? Or should it only be done with
    a 115 v. flux core machine?

    I had this come up on an automotive site, and some of the rat rodders actually thought it would be a 'cool' thing to do. Shake my head...

    Sure- flux core 115 volt HF AC wire feed

    Then the owner can mount up some Z rated tires and test the high speed characteristics

    Hmm, I thought I was gonna see a "weld" wheel, you know, the brand , "weld wheel" not such a high quality piece of fine craftsmanship. The concept of the rebar looks kinda cool, just executed poorly, and when it fails there's no telling how many will be executed. lol

    cavemann,,, I am that old. been shot at and hit, run over a left. that wheel looks like a first cousin to my pet rock. I believe that would make a great lookin spare for a rat rod.

    Well, I've been shot at & hit, sh!t at & hit, pissed on a few times, and get railed pretty often. Everyday I wake up with a little more pain, a lot more attitude and don't give hoot, but I'm still a nice guy .............................sometimes. LOL

    Believe it! Social Security Admin. sure as Hell believes it, and they're hopin' ya don't make it another 2 years Was why I took my pitiful SS early...….figured might as well get some of it (shrug)
