    Plasma Cutter Moisture filter question

I searched through the "plasma cutter" posts and couldn't find this question. Now I know a filter is required because of the moisture that builds up in the compressor and line. I know moisture will eat up your consumables. I have a JEGS plasma cutter. I am looking at filters. My question is, should the filter be mounted at the compressor end or the plasma cutter end? I live in the California High Dezert, so humidity isn't really an issue. Thanks for any "leg work" on this issue.

Need some sort of filter out of compressor that you can drain, get a Motor Guard mount it close to the plasma.

I use two water separators for plasmacutting just to be on the safe side. One on the compressor outlet and one on the plasmacutter inlet.
Actually its three, because there is also a small one inside the Esab Powercut 400 from factory.

Thank you for the quick replies. Yes I was looking at the motor guard. Will pick it up tomorrow.

Are you sure you'll need one in your dry high desert air? Do you get water in the bottom of your compressor?

As to the water filter,I would place it at the lowest point of your air supply line.Water likes to roll down hill.
