    SP-130T drive not working

Friend has a SP-130T in beautiful condition but the wire feed drive quite functioning.

I had someone say there are 3 likely problems, but canít fine the post.

I think the end of shaft in the wire feed unit turns but drive rollers donít move.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting whatís failed would be most appreciated! :-)

    Cheers, Allen

unplug the guns two wires off the blades, and try jumping them.

Wanted to verify I pull the two light gauge wires from their spades and jump theses spades, correct?

The SP130 won't feed wire unless the A-B-C-D knob is exactly on the contacts. Try moving the knob back and forth a few times (getting it right on the mark) and see if the wire wakes up. I had this happen to me a few years ago.

Thanks Doug, I hate to ask this, but what is the A-B-C-D knob? :-/

He's talking about the output power selector. Flip it to a different setting. Make a jumper across the two spades on the machine. The feed motor should start. If not. Time to pull the cover and check connections to the motor. You might want to hook up the + & - cables before you do anything. Good Luck !
