Its been a long time ago but I had a 1E that did not produce power or an arc. I purchased it for $150 about 30 years ago. All I did was remove the sheet metal and I found a wire shorted to the case where the insulation wore through from vibration. I owned that welder for about 15 years and then sold it for $600.

I had the same issue on a 1e. Check the weld power switches. If they are functional test the diodes on the circuit board. I replaced a couple bad diodes and it was good to go.

Ask your local welding supply. I know one in north zulch Tx but I’m not sure about Waco.

The Roughneck welders have slip rings.
Since bend sitting 5 years the rings will have oxide and this will give no power.

Simple to clean slip rings with 120 to 200 grit paper.
