    Mig liner

    Hello
I just purchased my first Miller welder at the young old age of 72,after a Hobart 135 and an Everlast 205 I decided to get the Multimatic 215 My question is can I use .023 wire in the .030 / .035 liner that is supplied with the machine?
    Thanks
    Ray

Should be fine. Be sure to try and keep your whip straight as the small wire is harder to feed.

Maybe if like was said you keep the gun as straight as possible. Hanging the machine so the gun comes down is a good idea if possible. An .023" liner would be the best though.

    Yep.

Ive been doing it for years. No problems/no special instructions. works fine.

I also use .030 tips for .023 wire.

    no issues.

Cheating: on 'recommended liners' - correlates 'to the length of
    feed' - how long is your MIG lead . . . ?

Yes, trying to feed .023" wire through a 15' gun, especially with an oversize liner, can be an exercise in futility.
