    Ranger 250 problem

Hey guys we have a ranger 250 engine drive welder that developed a problem. A few weeks ago it lost weld output only had a faint arc. Sent it I. To a lws that does in house repairs. They load tested it and of course it worked so they suspected leads were bad. Get it back put new leads on it seems to work but for only 5 rods. Weld output drops way down but still has auxiliary output. If it sits overnight it will work again. Any thoughts? I am thinking circuit board but that’s a expensive part to throw at it hoping it works. Thanks

Look at this service manual for trouble shooting

I've been working on a Ranger 250 with no weld output but had had AC power. Ultimately found the diode board attached to the chopper board was shorted that caused chopper board failure. If you need a board good luck. Most are no longer in production and most Lincoln board can't be repaired because of potting. Anybody got a chopper board for one of these?
