    I think there is a time chart for Circuit Breakers as to how much "more" they can handle for a certain time before opening.

    Give it 33% more input amps then it will be close to 33% more than the output amps it had before. The benefit would be mostly linear I believe.

    I was able to run 3x 1/8" 6011's back to back at ~115 amps, no pop on the breaker.

    I got through 1-1/2 5/32" 6011's at ~130 amps and the breaker popped.

    The 3x 1/8" 6011's at ~115 amps is a pretty good indicator for me. That should be plenty of welding power. Any of the thick steel I'll weld would be short pieces that would likely be less than 1 rod would give me anyway, just perhaps multi-pass (cleaning between passes = some cool down time anyway). I may even be able to run some 5/32" in some fab also, but that would be pushing it. We'll see.

    If run new wire it only the cost of the wire. Even plug and breaker is same price.
