Dynasty 200 DX troubleshooting

I am troubleshooting a Dynasty 200 Dx, solved some of the problems (and created a new one... face palm!), the on off switch on the pedal has me curious. The pedal wasn't working, so I took it apart and the micro-switch wasn't contacting the bump on the pedal which actuates it. I looked around and couldn't find anything else amiss, comparing it to a known good pedal.
I tweaked the micro-switch arm to get it closer and temporarily glued a nylon block to the end of it. It worked briefly but the block fell off, it is not a permanent fix.

Posting here in case anyone has seen this problem before, I don't know how it ever worked in the past with this switch configuration.

Regarding creating a new problem, I took the cover off the machine and cleaned it out with some electronic cleaner and shop air. Seems to have dissolved the conformal coating and it was flying off all boards. Does anybody have a suggestion for re-coating them without tearing the whole machine down?

I had a similar problem on the same machine and pedal. I tweaked the arm on the switch and it has worked fine for over a month so far.

I was attempting exactly that. Arm is at 45 degrees and still needed additional 1/4” or so. Hence the plastic block.

Use glass tape and strap the switch in to the holder so it won't move. The rubber pad that holds the switch in place some times changes size. And lets the switch move.
Then the arm adjustment will hold.

Never expected that little block to stay in place and it didn't disappoint me. taking it apart and putting it back together with additional support for the switch seems to have done the trick. Hope it keeps running correctly.

Were you able to get your foot pedal to work?
Mine is acting up again and seems like it is doing the same as yours.

open the foot control, check your cord for breaks. test the switch and control pot.
Put glass tape over the switch to lock it into the holder.
Most foot control repairs I do are cord and switches. Miller now sells a cord and switch as one part. once and a great while i get a worn out potentiometer.
They measure 1K ohms. Most of the time the cord breaks where it leaves the foot control. Cord change it an easy repair. it just plugs in inside the foot control.

I just took my foot pedal apart and it looks like there were some crushed wires.
I cut out about 8 inches and spliced them back together. I also taped the switch in position.
It seems to work now.
