    ESAB Lorch AC/DC

I have the 301 and I know that several on here have the 200. My question is, What does the 201 offer for AC Hz option at 200 amps? Is it 200 or 100? or. Also with the 201 does your AC Hz depend on amperage selected or do you get full AC Hz range no matter what high amperage you select.
    Thanks.

The reason I ask is I just acquired yet another tig unit but it will only do 100 AC Hz at 200 amps but will do 250 Hz at 100 amps. Not sure this is normal. May have something to do with duty cycle some how but I'm not seeing how.

My Lorch handytig 200, which is a cut-down T series, does 200hz at all amps. I would have thought it should do the full range whatever the amps, for all lorch based models, they're very good for duty cycle.

It will also do some very funky things when you apply a high frequency pulse on top of AC... e.g. a 400hz pulse on a 200hz AC wave Their inverter cores are very versatile that way.

The Caddie tig was similar in freq response, but not quite so radical ini operation . The 200 hz is available at all ac amps with the Lorch/Esab machines..(AKA Sanrex style)
