    Applying for a job

When applying for a job have any of y'all been asked to show your high school diploma to the employer? Because I know online most of the requirements for welding jobs require a high school diploma. It sucks for me because I lost my high school diploma. I have my college welding diploma though.

Call your high school and get a duplicate. Did you need your diploma for collage ?

Your former high school will re issue you a copy of your diploma. Sometimes they may charge a fee.

A lot of people don't have their high school diploma handy. If it's a welding job the college welding diploma probably carries more weight.

Alright good because I know I can go get a high school diploma replaced but I was like maybe I don't even need it since I have my college welding degree diploma

While it may be odd to be asked, just get a copy and be done with it.

    Re: Applying for a job

If you complete 12 years of school, do not have a child before 21 and do not get married before 21 the stats indicate that you will never fall below the poverty line. So what I am saying if a business is looking for success minded people they would at least ask for your completion certificate or grade 12 equivalency.
To stick it to the system I never graduated then took night school then took first year university courses at college. I ended up with a degree but I officially never graduated. LOL It used to cause confusion on some job applications and employers thought it humorous.

It can also call FAB too.
Typically in metal buildings you here FAB work. Other industries will call Fabrication or FAB work.
