Depends what kind of life you want out of the carbide tips. Cheaper blades will likely won't last as long as more expensive blades with higher grade carbide. If you're a hobbyist/weekend garage warrior, look a Diablo blades. I just bought one recently and it works great (90 tooth for thinner steel), and also a Tomax 72 tooth blade and also works great for me.

I think so long as you use wax cutting lubricant you can make it last longer, as well as using the appropriate tooth-count. I use W.D. Quinn for re-sharpening, but perhaps you have a local source.

These are supposed to be real good:

I plan on using W.D. Quinn to have my blades sharpened.

+1 for W.D. Quinn. Been in the shop, very professional. I bet they would entertain your question if ya called'em. They sell blades also. Oscar put me on to them and wouldn't ya know they are close.
