    305g digital read outs not working

    Ive recently purchased a used 305g welder its has very little hours 580 hrs ,but it was in truck and only used a few times a year when needed .
    the display digital read outs are blank and it wasn't welding good so

    I recently bought a new pc board installed it and welder works great and so does 110 v outlets and it auto idles also BUT NO DIGITAL READ OUT VOLTS OR AMPS

    also the kohler ch23 engine doesn't charge the battery is there a fuse ?
    I also bought a new regulator for the engine and still noT charging .

    Any help would be greatly appreciated .

    Meters have probably failed from vibration. Check connections to the meters. make sure clean and tight. Try to measure voltages at the meters if you can figure it out.
    If not call Lincoln for information on how to test.
    meters are sold in sets of two ask for the KP number.
    On the charger, test the two outer connections. first with an ohm meter then start engine and test for AC volts. The center lead should read 12 vdc and is connected to the battery. ohm reading should be low because you are reading the stator.
    AC volts are 30 or 60. zero volts and open stator. 30 to 60 volts and bad charger.
    zero volts and stator should read open.
    If stator reads good with ohm test and does not have AC volts. there may be a magnet problem on the fly wheel. engine might not run well.
