New Joiner wanting to learn MIG from Virginia

Hi, I'm living in Virginia Beach and have just bought an old 1973 car. Only tried SMAW at college some 35 years ago and then it was for underwater work combined with a bit of NDT stuff.

Just bought an old car (73) and want to learn MIG effectively. Scoping a first machine to use on body panels so probably only low amps etc. Interested in the inverter machines that seem to be great value?

Thanks in advance for any dumbass questions I may ask - ignorance is bliss!

Welcome! Buy a decent machine with the amps to do some work, 180 amps, maybe 200 & 240 volt if you have the power, an inverter machine that size will run on a 40 amp circuit easily. Buy it right & buy once.
