    I don’t see why a hot melt glue gun wouldn’t serve the purpose.

    They exist. Most of my Dewalt power tools come with them anyway. The power tools trigger has to be pulled to make the light turn on and the light turns off a few moments later after the trigger is released. If one was creative enough with electronics they could conjure up a motion sensor relay etc or even use the same arc flash sensors used to turn on the auto darkening welding hoods. It’s probably only a matter of time before this is a built in feature on high end welding hoods with optional port to plug in battery powered accessory lights. Heck it could even be a feature of the mig guns with WiFi or blue tooth as well. Pull the trigger on the gun and light turns on. Release the trigger and light fades out similar to power tools.
