I haven't welded before last Saturday. Just went out and bought a small welder and decided to give it a try. Are DIY or hobby welders allowed here?

Welcome! We're all here for the same thing, we like to gang up on the new guy and insult him & call him names for stupid questions! Actually that's not true, come in ask away, there are no stupid questions, don't give intentionally snarky replies. You'll find many people with years and years and years of experience, and with those years and different weldors, you will find vastly different experiences and jobs, you particular question may get 1 answer, or it may get 100 answers and every one of them can be right, everyone of them has their own methodology. They're a bunch of great guys, novice weldors, experienced weldors, pipe weldors, boilermakers, tig, mig, mag, stick, ac. dc etc. What welder did ya buy to start with??? Welcome & have fun! I did get one stupid question once time in a different place, some guy asked why tires & wheels were round.

    Hello Everyone,
The next step is to select an institution after choosing to study in Canada as an international student.
