Hi everyone, looking for ideas how to retrofit a spool gun

From what I have learned from the internet I understand
that one of the difficulties with welding aluminum is that
pushing AL wire through the conduit is rather tricky.
So, to me it seems like better choice would be a spool
gun for this job. However my MIG welder does not have
    a spool gun connector.

Is it difficult to add spool gun connector ?
Is it feasable at all ?

I am quite experienced with electronics, but welding
    is totally new to me.

As mentioned, what machine, amps, 220 volt ?? You might not have enough machine to do aluminium.

There some brands of spool guns that are simple to install.

My self I would use a short MIG gun and a nylon liner.
I like Tweco fast changing guns.
