Does Harbor Freight still do 20% Single Item Coupon on printed catalogs?
Used to be on their printed catalogs came with the mails, but I haven't seen it for a while! They do 25% single item and 30% under $10 on holidays received thru email.

Yep, they're in pretty much every magazine I get all the diesel mags, all the gun mags, machinist mags, off road, water sports mags, woodworking mags, aviation mags... shoot I can't think of any magazines I have seen recently that did NOT have a HF page with the discount coupon on it well... except mags like Vouge and family circle... I don't think HF buys ads in them...

I was thinking about this the other day and realized that I haven't been there since the last magazine they mailed me which must have been 4 or 5 months ago. Don't matter anyways since alot of their junk is cheaper in other stores, believe it or not.

Strange. It has always worked for me in NorCal. I think there are a few special coupons that require the paper original. One might be the coupon that comes in the box with Vulcan welders.
They simply scan the phone screen same as scanning a paper coupon. I've never been refused.

Just the regular 25 percent off anything coupons they had... I think it really depends on the managers of the stores as some of them can be very picky There are at least 6 HF stores I can go to in the area and even though they are the same store they are as different as family members

Word on the street is to get good discounts you'll need to join the Inside Track Club. No more mailings.

Yes. The problem with Inside Track Club is items are on sale at various times that don't match with when you need the item. So if you need it you just buy it. Its pointless to wait months to see if ITC will offer it at a better price. This isn't cost effective or a good use of your time to keep checking to see if your needed item finally got listed in ITC for a month.
Also, during one of the two years I got ITC for the minor discount on something, I later bought the $350 garden shredder $10 cheaper on sale with a coupon, compared to the ITC price for the same thing. Fool me once, fool me twice, ... whatever. Never again.
And finally, I had hoped that showing a current ITC card made me a premium member to avoid the 'ask phone number, key it into the register, do you receive our catalog' sales pitch. Nope. Same annoying BS as ever.
In summary ITC only makes sense if there is something listed that will save you more than the join fee immediately. Otherwise forget it.

It's been a while since I've seen one, but it seems like the fine print on those coupons always excluded anything in the store worth buying...

Oh Yea, the Party's Over at HF (glad I got "in" on it while I could....)
Really no more useful coupons, no more mass mailings, no more catalogs, no more magazine ads, if you still need to feel "special" you've got to Pay for Inside Track (and no real deals there either).
I think their corporate philosophy is to now replace Craftsman, better tools, more money but, I also think the quality in their higher-priced line has gone up to those standards!

Welder too! With coupon I paid $72 for the 'MIG100' 90 amp, AC, fluxcore welder #94056. Cheap? Not even an internal cooling fan!
Unfortunately it wasn't worth even that price. The first one was simply un-usable. I'm pretty sure now, it could only spit because the included flux wire was grossly bad.
Second one worked ok for a limited range of projects. Finally sold it for $25.
It's good to see HF is now competing in the better-quality part of the market. But ... I've seen two reports now of a Titanium 125 (DC flux welder) that welded nice but lasted less than a month. So I recommend pay for the two year exchange warranty on this one.

When purchased my welder the fine print on the Coupon said no to welders.
I agree with two year exchange warranty
