When that table shows up, I'd suggest getting those latex blankets off of it real fast...

Good thing you ordered when you did, it will probably double in price in the coming year.

I might have it tomorrow or Monday after I pay taxes to Canada Border Services. That's always a joy......

That's when you ask the texas guys to split your invoice in half..... and you simply show one to the BP at least that what I've heard people do when buying things from down here to go up there

No way. These guys Google everything. If there’s a big discrepancy they “reassess” the value.

Plus I never argue with someone with a gun. The women agents are the meanest!!!!

So much for the good old days... I can remember several customers I had..... er... I mean a friend of mine had from up north every year they'd come down and spend a few grand and like clockwork they would have my friend make up two invoices for half the amount each...

    Welding Fixture Table

I especially like this little detail.....

Square tube shelf shelf support for the expanded metal affording smooth slide out of “stuff”.

Plus it appears the square tube has the fuller radiused edges which matches the pipe legs nicely.

    Welding Fixture Table

My table arrived. It must have taken one guy at least a day to prep for shipping as it took me a couple of hours to just REMOVE the wrapping.

A close up of the intermediate shelf....

At least ronsii shouldn’t be whining about the color.

Yeah me too. Somewhat whimsical, definitely extravagant and impractical.

The perfect touch for a welding table. LOL.

She's a beauty, but you're going to cry when the first welding beads stick to it. I like it. A "Lincoln" decal opposite the brand logo would look good too. Glad you got the rubber sheets disposed of before Ronsii and Sid got there. I was also drooling over the forklift a little... working on my table for a while yesterday with the engine hoist I found out that isn't the safest way to be flipping around something heavy. Might have to build a quick disconnect for the CAT and get some pallet forks for it too.

    Re: Welding Fixture Table

I bought that Yale forklift used over 30 years ago.

6000 Lb capacity, sideshift, auto trans, little Mitsubishi diesel, free lift mast and wide solid front tires. It’s had regular maintenance, a couple of batteries and finally a new starter just last month.

$8500 (initial purchase price) + maintenance divided by 30 years = around $400 per year. Doesn’t owe me a thing.

Since discovering the thread started by Rustyshackleford (Brett) I have been working with John from Texas Metal Works on a custom table with some unique features.

I’m usually the type to build things myself but in this case.....My cost for locally laser cutting the pieces alone would have been considerably more than my entire purchase price having John build it.

It has been a several month process incorporating my ideas into a buildable product from a manufacturing standpoint and John has been very patient with me. Hopefully my input will result in future welding table options/upgrades available from Texas Metal Works.

Here are a few random photos taken during construction. The table size without extensions is 40” x 80” with a 1/4” table top braced from the underside to achieve and maintain flatness.

A photo of underside. Note the 2inch square holes at each corner of the table. These line up with the oversized 3” square tube legs I specified to accommodate the 2.5” receiver tubing for four vertical receivers.

Bolt on plates with custom slots to accommodate vertical receivers ...

Heavy 11 gauge center mounted drawer with industrial slides ...

    To be continued.......

I got them to install adjustable self leveling swivel pads in lieu of casters.
